No matter what you may have read recently in magazines, newspapers, on the internet, heard on the radio, seen on TV or on the big screen, there is absolutely no credible evidence that can be independently verified that harmful man induced climate change (global warming) is occurring. For all of the hubbub about Pacific Ocean islands disappearing beneath rising sea levels, sea level in all of Earth's oceans has not risen in the past 100 years. If you look closely at the above photograph you will see an underlined V mark. It was placed there in 1841 by Capt. Sir James Clark Ross on the Isle Of The Dead, Tasmania, Australia and marks mean sea level at high tide in the south Pacific Ocean. It is proof positive that between 1841 and 2004 mean sea level had not risen even one inch. The photograph was taken at mean low tide by John Daly on January 20, 2004. If there was even one independently verifiable shred of evidence that harmful man induced climate change (global warming) was really occurring I would jump on the band wagon and lead the charge!!! It's a sad irony that in reality natural global cooling is occurring and the U.S. and other countries  in the temperate climate zone are facing disaster in the not so distant future in trying to stay warm at an affordable price. Fatalities in the hundreds of thousands will occur amongst the poor in western society and in the third world from hypothermia and starvation.

The cover of the August 2007 issue of Newsweek magazine is titled Global Warming Hoax*. I'm one of those deniers described therein!!! However I'm not part of the described well oiled and heeled global warming denial machine of Corporate America. I personally loathe some in that group, a group that has raped, pillaged and plundered the environment for obscene personal profit for a couple of centuries. However at the same time Corporate America produces many jobs and is needed but also needs more regulation. Getting back to the magazine article, if you read it carefully you will find the usual would have, could have, should have evidence in it but absolutely no credible evidence that can be independently verified that harmful man induced climate change (global warming) is occurring.

An Interglacial period is a geological interval of time with warmer global average temperature that separates glacials/ice ages. Our current Holocene interglacial has persisted since the Pleistocene, approximately 11,500 years ago. Superimposed on this very long climate change cycle is a number of smaller ones caused by small variations in the energy output of our Sun, wobbles of our Earth as it spins on its axis and the eccentricity of Earth's orbit around the Sun. If man's activities were actually warming Earth's climate which is not the case, in approximately 3500 years we would once again find ourselves in yet another ice age.

As an objective true scientist with no political ax to grind I stand firmly against the current junk science, media and pop culture craze that harmful man induced climate change (global warming) and ozone depletion is occurring. It's a total and utter fraud partially based on scientists within government and academia garnering a livelihood on earmarked global warming taxpayer funded research giveaways by federal and state governments. Basically they tell the government what it wants to hear to keep the $$$ rolling in. Long gone are the days of objectivity in science (see the link below). In the realm of science you cannot have a consensus, something either is or isn't. The use of the word points to how politics has entered the world of Science.

Ozone Hole Over The Antarctic During Southern Hemisphere Winter

The ozone holes (actually not a hole but a thinning) in the atmosphere in the Arctic and Antarctic regions are naturally occurring due to meteorological effects, expanding and contracting with the change of season. The meteorological effects consist of high velocity stratospheric level winds that peak during local winter and act to destroy ozone. Also there is less ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the Sun due to the inclination of Earth's axis during hemispheric Winter.

Another variability impacting ozone layer density is the +/- 11 year sunspot cycle. When solar activity is intense at a peak of a solar cycle the ozone layer density increases due to increased UV radiation, just the opposite occurs at the bottom of a solar cycle when the Sun is relatively quiet.

So while we run around like chickens with our heads cut off banning Freon R7 and other CFC's from everything we are simply wasting time and money as changes in ozone layer density is a normal occurrence. By the way the U.S. is not the number one producer of so called greenhouse gases. China ranks number one, India number two and the U.S. number three.

In 1998 17,000+ scientists signed a petition in Oregon concerning the Kyoto Protocol that states that there is no credible evidence that harmful man induced climate change (global warming) is occurring. Their assertion still stands.

Once again I state that no matter what you have read recently in magazines, newspapers, on the internet, heard on the radio, seen on TV or on the big screen, there is absolutely no credible evidence that can be independently verified that harmful man induced climate change (global warming) is occurring. The same goes for harmful man induced ozone depletion.

The bitter northern hemisphere winters of 2000-2001, 2001-2002, 2002-2003 argue against the occurrence of harmful man induced climate change (global warming). Also Winter 2000-2001 and 2004-2005 in Siberian Russia, as well as Winter 2004 in Antarctica were the coldest in recorded history. And let's not forget that January 2004 in Boston, MA was the coldest January in 111 years. Grand Forks, ND set its all time record low of -44 deg. below zero F, Fosston, MN also at -50 deg. below zero F and Saskatchewan, Canada saw minimum temperatures fall to -62 deg. below zero F, all in Winter 2003-2004.

But what is the point of the above paragraph? It is to demonstrate that for every short term global record warm weather event that is heralded in the media as an example of global warming, there is a counter balancing global record cold weather event, usually ignored by the media. 

The Warministas point to each and every regional short term warm event as proof positive that harmful man induced climate change (global warming) is occurring. At the same time they conveniently ignore regional short and long term cold events or I should say that they used too. Their new tactic is to conveniently blame every regional cooling event as also proof positive that harmful man induced climate change (global warming) is occurring. So they have a win-win situation.

As follows are cold weather anomalies in 2009 that have gone under or not reported at all in the U.S. media, due to the pro global warming media bias.

.....Through June 30, 2009 summer has yet to arrive across the northern U.S. from the Great Lakes to New England. June has also been very wet and the coolest in the past 15 years, with temperature averaging 5-10 deg. below normal. Anecdotal evidence is pointing towards the possibility of another year without a summer event, similar to what happened in 1816.....

.....A very late season cold wave struck New England and parts of the Mid Atlantic region. On Monday June 01, 2009 snow fell in parts of Maine, New Hampshire, new York and Vermont. Also on June 1st record breaking subfreezing minimum temperatures occurred as far south as Pennsylvania. In Maine Freedom saw 31 deg., in Massachusetts Clarksburg saw 31 deg., in New Hampshire Mount Washington saw 18 deg., in New York Oneonta saw 28 deg., in Vermont Mount Mansfield saw 26 deg. and Sutton 29 deg. and in Pennsylvania Bradford saw 29 deg.....

.....During the period Monday-Tuesday 05/18-19, 2009 a record breaking late season cold wave occurred in the eastern U.S. Subfreezing minimum temperatures extended from new England to north Georgia and North Carolina. During the period 83 minimum temperature records were set and 60 tied.

On Tuesday May 19, 2009 record low maximum temperatures in the upper 50's to low 60's in NE Florida, to the low to mid 60's on the north and west central peninsula were set.....

.....During the period Monday-Thursday 04/27-30, 2009 a tremendous late season winter storm struck parts of Montana.

.....On Tuesday April 7, 2009 a bone chilling late season cold wave invaded Florida. On Wednesday morning April 8, 2009 the subfreezing temperature line extended southward into the inland rural south peninsula region. The cold spot across the north was 28 deg. at Crawfordville and Middleburg, the cold spot central was 29 deg. at Nobleton East, the cold spot south was 32 deg. at S56DWX remote weather station.

The 29 deg. minimum temperature at Nobleton East on the west central peninsula was the coldest for the date and month, also the latest sub 32 deg. reading recorded in 48 years of records

At my suburban location on the south side of Lakeland and up on the Lakeland Ridge my minimum temperature was 41 deg., the coldest for the date in 13 years of records. At nearby Lakeland Linder Airport the official minimum temperature was 43 deg., the coldest for the date in 61 years of records.....

..... During the week of Sunday March 29 to Saturday April 4, 2009 a series Spring blizzards dumped up to four feet of snow in portions of Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Snow drifts of up to ten feet high formed due to gale force winds. The blizzards were followed by unseasonably cold temperatures as low as -5 deg. F.....

.....Winter 2008-2009 in Alaska has been unusually cold and long. To add insult to injury during the Sunday-Tuesday March 15-17, 2009 a large expanse of inland Alaska was once again in the firm grip of a bitter late season cold spell. O'Brien, AK dipped to -49 deg. F, Birch Creek -48 deg. F, Deadhorse and Nuiqsut -46 deg. F, Chicken and Point Lay -45 deg. F, Norutak -44 deg. F, Collville Village -43 deg. F, Stampede -42 deg. F, Eagle -41 deg. F, Arctic Village, Chandalar Lake, Eagle, Fairbanks BLM and Stoney all saw -40 deg. F.....

.....On Wednesday March 11, 2009 much of central and western Canada as well as parts of the Northern Plains of the U.S. are in the grip of a late season Arctic cold wave. Shepard Bay, NU fell to -54 deg. F, Thompson, MB -42 deg. F, Uranium City, SK -40 deg. F, Sachs Harbour, NWT -38 deg. F, Edmonton, AB -37 deg. F, Point Six Radar, MT -36 deg. F and Lima, ND -26 deg. F.....

.....On Wednesday morning March 04, 2009 record breaking minimum temperature occurred across much of the eastern seaboard and NE U.S. Island Pond, VT dropped to -23 deg. F and Clayton Lake, ME -27 deg. F.

Even parts of Florida dropped below freezing again with Middleburg seeing 25 deg F on the north peninsula and Nobleton 26 deg F on the west central peninsula.....

......On Tuesday morning March 03, 2009 another late season cold wave occurred in Florida. The subfreezing line extended southward into the inland rural south peninsula down to approximately the Alligator Alley.  The temperature dropped as low as 24 deg. at Sandborn in the north, 25 deg. at Nobleton East on the west central peninsula and 30 deg. at Panther West on the SW peninsula. At my location on the south side of Lakeland on the west central peninsula I had a minimum temperature of 30 deg. with frost, a new record low for the date.

Between February 28 and March 2, 2009 278 new snowfall records were set......

The temperature dropped as low as 22 deg. at Crestview in the north, 22 deg. at Nobleton East on the west central peninsula and 33 deg. at SFWMD remote automatic weather station SGGEW in Collier County.....

.....On Saturday morning February 07, 2009 in Florida the temperature dropped as low as 24 deg. F at Tallahassee in the north and Nobleton East on the west central peninsula.....

Note! Tentatively the -50 deg. F at Big Black River, ME is a new all time record low temperature for any month. The previous record low minimum temperature was -48 F at Van Buren on January 19, 1925.

Florida escaped the coldest of the air with the temperature dipping to 26 deg. F at Tallahassee, FL. The last time that the temperature dropped to +1 deg. F in Georgia it dropped to +2 deg. F at Chipley, FL.....

.....On Thursday January 15, 2009 record shattering bitter Arctic air gripped the eastern 2/3's of the U.S. and Canada. The temperature dropped to -45 deg. F at Charlie, ND, -44 deg. F at Parent, QE, -42 deg. F at Edmunston, NB, -42 deg. F at Aberdeen, SD, -38 deg. F at Fosston, MN, -38 deg. F at Black River, ME, -37 deg. F at Rochelle, IL, -32 deg. F at Island Pond, VT, -30 deg. Even Florida got into the act with the subfreezing line down to U.S. 92 across the central peninsula. The temperature dipped to 25 deg. at Holder and Nobleton, 26 deg. at Brooksville, 28 deg. at Mount Plymouth, 29 deg. at Dade City and 32 deg. at Plant City.....

.....On Monday January 12, 2009 the temperature dropped to -43 deg. F at Ash Lake, MN, -42 deg. F at Big Fork, Effie and Goodridge, -40 deg. F at Badoura, Birchdale, Fosston, Gatzke, International Falls, and Roseau. In Alaska the temperature dropped to -58 deg. F at Beaver, Chalkyitsk, O'Brien and Fort Yukon.....

.....In December 2008 a record 59.8" of snow fell in Spokane, WA. That is more than normally falls in a winter season. Green Bay, WI measured 45.2" a new record for December 2008, Madison, WI measured 40.4", it's snowiest month ever and Fargo, ND 33.5", it's snowiest month ever.....

During The Little Ice Age period global temperature fell approximately 4 deg. F. By the way superimposed on this period was the smaller period of time between 1645-1715 when the Sun produced virtually no observable sunspots! This shorter period is called the Maunder Minimum, a time when global temperature fell another 3 deg. F. Check out the link on the subject below.

                                                                                  THE LITTLE ICE AGE AND MEDIEVAL WARM PERIOD

To truly measure long term climate change whether it be warmer or colder, takes much more time to accurately measure than the time that we have even possessed the technological means to do so. Natural long term climate change is related to variations in energy output of the Sun and wobbles of our Earth as it spins on its axis and changes in Earth's elliptical orbit around the Sun, not our puny but arrogant human existence.

Ground based weather observations have shown a small increase in surface temperature between 1895-2004 of approximately +0.1 deg. F. This is due to the encroaching urban heat island effect around weather observing equipment locations, the shift to less accurate automated weather observing equipment, lack of routine maintenance of automated and manual electronic weather observing equipment and lack of maintenance of weather observing equipment exposure. There is also the human factor where weather observation data is manipulated to produce the desired warming. It's disingenuous at the least and an outrage at the most.

I have had two weather stations set up in a small town in central Florida since 1973. Once station is located within the ever warming urban heat island, the other in a totally rural location. Between 1973 and 2008 the yearly average temperature at the urban location rose 1 deg. F, at the rural location the temperature fell 1.1 deg. F.

Check out the following three website links. These sites document some of the U.S. Historical Climate Network (USHCN) weather stations that are in a physical shambles. The USHCN consists of 1221 weather stations out of the 8000 COOP weather stations with at least 50 years of continuous weather observations. Weather observation data from these official sites go into the climate models. Data from these models is used to shove the lie of harmful man induced climate change (global warming) down our throats. There is an old saying B.S. in B.S. out.

Satellite based systems that measure the complete land, ocean, atmosphere interface show a definite cooling trend between 1979-2004 of -0.5 deg, F. Radiosonde balloon launches show no temperature change between 1960-2004. Antarctica has been cooling at the rate of 1.4 deg. F per every ten years for the past 20 years. Also between 1895 and 2004 January average temperature in Florida has fallen approximately 1 deg. F.

Also though some glaciers in Greenland and Europe are receding, others in Alaska and Antarctica are rapidly expanding. Also temperature on the ice sheets of Antarctica and Greenland is falling. How can that possibly be if harmful man induced climate change (global warming) is occurring??? In the panhandle region of Alaska the Hubbard Glacier is growing at the rate of 80 feet per year and is threatening the town of Yakutat.

There is also anecdotal evidence that the number of cold core tropical upper troposphere trough's (TUTT's) are increasing. TUTT's are caused by cooling in the upper troposphere, a process that would not be occurring if harmful man induced climate change (global warming) was occurring.

Here is some more very interesting data. NOAA weather and ocean observation data and webcam images from the North Pole showed that in 2002, 2003 and 2004 the ice melt began later than normal and the refreeze began earlier than normal. What the heck??? That means that the Summer season was shorter than normal. Here is a link to the data:

 

Let's shift gears for a moment and talk about warmth. For years now 1998 has been championed by the Warministas as the warmest year of the 20th century and proof of harmful man induced climate change (global warming). However four of the ten hottest years on record (including the hottest year) was in the 1930s, according to NASA data that was overlooked until a Canadian kid pointed it out, another glaring error in the false propaganda machine of the pro global warming religious cult.

In recent years abnormally cold water has been occurring along the east coast of Florida between the coast and Gulf Stream. Is this cold ocean water anomaly just a natural oscillation such as the cold coastal Arctic Labrador Current making it down to the east coast of Florida temporarily? Or is something else beginning, like a global cooling disruption of the Thermohaline circulation? For those of you unfamiliar with the global ocean Thermohaline circulation check out the link below.

Briefly it is a global circulation that consists of shallow warm salty water moving northward from the tropics that cools, becomes more dense (related to temperature and salinity) and sinks in the polar regions, only to head back south very deep within the ocean and resurface again in the tropics. Once complete cycle takes approximately 1600 years. A disruption or shut down of this circulatory system would trigger a new Little Ice Age within 5-10 years and a devastating shift back into a global ice age in only 20-30 years.

By the way though it can be found posted as fact all over the Internet right now, the Gulf Stream has not actually started slowing down yet. If it eventually does it means a renewed ice age not global warming!!!          

More anecdotal evidence of global cooling is the recent decision by the NOAA NHC/TPC to start naming subtropical storms. We are seeing more early season hybrid storms like TS Anna in April 2003 and late season hybrid storms like TS Peter in December 2003. Also there was the rare un-named Hurricane that struck Brazil near 28 deg. south latitude at the end of March 2003.

Global cooling is translating into more cold core winter type storms penetrating deeper into the tropics during the Fall and Spring periods. These cold core systems then take on a hybrid mix of warm and cold core storm characteristics and at times even translate into a warm core tropical systems. Another way to look at it is that the ITCZ pushed south of the Equator by intense jet stream flow associated with the very cold winter of 2003-2004. This is exactly what spawned Hurricane "No Name" in Brazil.

Recent climate issues in the news such as retreating glaciation is another example of global cooling. Why? Simply as the global temperature falls the atmosphere retains less moisture and less precipitation falls. Also claims of permanent reductions in sea ice coverage are grossly exaggerated or simply untrue. Temporary fluctuations in sea ice coverage can be explained by the natural oscillation of the numerous interacting regional, hemispheric and global atmosphere and ocean patterns.

There many natural atmospheric and oceanic oscillations and new ones continue to be discovered. To name some how about the (ENSO) El Nino/La Nina, (PDO) Pacific Decadal Oscillation (recently the PDO shifted to a negative configuration which will produce colder than normal weather for North America for the next 20-30 years), (IPO) Inter-decadal Oscillation, (EPO) East Pacific Oscillation, (NAO) North Atlantic Oscillation, (AO) Arctic Oscillation, (AAO) Antarctic Oscillation, (MJO) Madden-Julian Oscillation, (QDO) Quasi-decadal Oscillation, (QBO) Quasi-Biennial Oscillation, (AMO) Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation, (TAV) Tropical Atlantic Variability, (EA) East Atlantic, (EAWR) East Atlantic/Western Russia, (SCAND) Scandinavia, (PE) Polar/Eurasia, (WP) West Pacific, (EP-NP) East Pacific-North Pacific, (TNH) Tropical/Northern Hemisphere, (PT) Pacific Transition, Global Atmospheric Angular Momentum (GLAAM) and others. Never heard of some or all of them? Of course not because they are not junk science concepts!

Small variations in the energy output of our Sun directly impacts our global climate. As I already mentioned and will again, a period of time between 1645-1715 the Sun produced virtually no observable sunspots! This time period is called the Maunder Minimum, a time when global temperature fell 4 deg. F.

Evidence continues to mount that solar cycle 24 may be the smallest in the last 100 years. As of February 1, 2008 I predicted a solar cycle 24 peak at a Smoothed Sunspot Number (SSN) of 105 in October 2012. My updated forecast published on March 30, 2009 is for a smoothed sunspot number (SSN) of 100 in July 2013. My forecast if correct will make solar cycle 24 smaller than the previous three.

The NASA/SSTC currently has two forecasts out for solar cycle 24. Forecast #1 calls for a sunspot number peak of 140 in October 2011. Forecast #2 calls for a sunspot number peak of 90 in May 2013. See the graphic below. They also have a very long range forecast out for solar cycle 25 that would be smaller still than the previous four.

Are we headed for another Dalton Minimum (see graph below)? Only time will tell! Anecdotal evidence is pointing towards it. The last one occurred in the early and mid 1800's.

 A Dalton Minimum (approximately 30 years in length) is a miniature version of the infamous Maunder Minimum (approximately 70 years in length) , where the number of sunspot groups drop to a below normal level and the corresponding strength and size of the Sun's heliosphere and total energy output drops and global temperature plummets.

I think that a fitting name for the next solar minimum is the "GORE" minimum!!!

This does not bode well for our global climate as far as a cooling effect. During the next solar cycle we may return to a period with much longer and colder winters similar to the 1970's and 1980's. You can read about it at:

By the way the D layer of the Ionosphere which is at Mesosphere altitude cools approximately 2 degrees c and contracts in thickness near and at the bottom of a +/- 11 year solar cycle. However monitoring of temperature in the Mesosphere during the past thirty years has detected a 10 deg. C temperature drop independent of sunspot cycle phase, yet another sign that we are seeing global cooling not warming.

What is sad but at the same time to an extent humorous concerning some global layman environmentalists is that they are extremely ignorant of the natural laws of physics and also oblivious to the fact that all sophisticated operational and experimental numerical weather forecasting models become questionable in accuracy at 3-15 days out. But at the same time they expect us to believe that these same forecasting models can accurately forecast global temperature trends years into the future, a classic junk science mentality, preying on a science ignorant American and global populace. It's also hard to delineate at times between their general ignorance of science and the fact that they also simply ignore the evidence against them.

Whether a government scientist or one within academia, when your lively hood depends on earmarked global warming taxpayer funded giveaways by federal and state governments you tell the government what it wants to hear to keep the multiple billions of research $$$ rolling in. Long gone are the days of objectivity in science. In the realm of science you cannot have a consensus. Something either is or isn't. The use of the word points to how politics has entered the world of Science.

Politics must be discussed as unfortunately it has become an integral part of climate science. As George Harrison (of The Beatles fame) said shortly before his death, "Crazy people are running the world". As an objective Scientist I abhor the politicizing of climate science and science in general. However the opposition have no qualms about mixing political dogma with science. In Spring 2008 the Senate is expected to vote on a Global Warming bill (Lieberman-Warner) that will impose a $1.2 Trillion tax on the American people, all in the name of Al Gore’s unfounded Climate Alarmist agenda.

In 2008 the three major presidential candidates are all pushing the CO2 Climate Crisis thesis and Climate Alarmists are pumping hundreds of millions of dollars into this massive effort to create the largest expansion of government power in our nation’s history. Fortunately the above mentioned legislation was defeated in the U.S. Congress in June 2008 but the sponsors will certainly put it forth once again at some future date.

Understand that often when you hear of a scientist or group of scientists that support the lie that harmful man induced climate change (global warming) is occurring, he/she is usually a Marxist Political Scientist, a.k.a. teaches political science at the college level. Marxists long ago subverted the education system at every level in the U.S. and they have used it as a tool for recruitment into their political system of Marxism. Check out the link below. You also have to discount the recent report from the morally and ethically corrupted United Nations (U.N.), World Meteorological Organization (W.M.O.) Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (I.P.C.C.). Why? Because they have withheld their research sources. Without research sources you can't trust that their findings have been independently verified.

Also while some glaciers are in retreat, as the atmosphere is cooling and therefore can hold less moisture and produce less snowfall, other glaciers are advancing. The number of glaciers that are advancing far outnumber the glaciers that are retreating.

Recently an inside contact of mine at the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) with a PhD in Meteorology emailed me with the following:

.....I noticed your note about the Goddard research misinformation on ice thicknesses etc. You are correct about their loose use of numbers. I worked for a short while with ------ when the person directed Goddard and they really were more emotional than logical. Good to see someone is still reporting their misjudgments about global issues.....

It has also been discovered very recently that NASA has been changing old weather observation data in their published listings of temperature readings from around the world. There were 120+ different lists saved on their site, all with different numbers for the same places and dates, etc. It also appears that all these changes were designed to slowly make the old data be more cool and the newer data to be more warm, giving a boost to the curve or trend line towards warming.

No matter what you call this, when you change recorded data over long periods of time, many years after the original data was gathered/recorded it really invalidates the entire process. It really seems that NASA is trying to cash in on this madness of Global Warming for funding, which as we all know is the real game being played up in Congress anyway, eh?

It's really a sad state of affairs but we cannot trust elements of the U.S. Government, academia and certainly not the media, as they insist that harmful man induced climate change (global warming) is occurring, when it's not. The National Oceanographic & Atmospheric Administration  (NOAA) just declared that 2006 was the warmest year on record in the U.S. Here is their supporting graphic:

However if you dig a little you will find this graphic. Only in New Jersey was 2006 the warmest on record.

Then there is the issue of more and stronger land falling tropical cyclones in recent years in the tropical Atlantic Ocean Basin. The upswing is of course being blamed on harmful man induced climate change (global warming). However in reality we are in a normal cyclical upturn in tropical cyclone formation due to warming of the Atlantic Ocean that follows an approximate 20 year cycle. The cycle is named the Atlantic Multi-decadal Oscillation (AMO). The last upturn was in the 1950-1970 time period. If you look at the following graph it's plain to see that it is cyclical in nature.
