(*)NOTES-
El Nino ranged from moderate to strong strength (+1.7) during the month. However the month saw a pattern more similar to La Nina, with a deep layered high pressure system nearby blocking passage of most strong cold fronts and therefore resulting in warm and dry weather. However by the last week of the month the El Nino stoked up subtropical jet stream began making it's appearance.
24th- First Significant rainfall event since September 20, 2009.
25th- Three weak extratropical surface low pressure systems crossed the central peninsula.
26th- 34 deg minimum temperature in Nobleton West.
27th- 32 deg minimum temperature in Nobleton West. As is typical during a winter season dominated by an El Nino pattern, the first frost of the winter season was averted by high clouds streaming in via the subtropical jet stream, ahead of the next winter storm system.
